Elmvale Shopping Centre (Parking lot next to Kelsey's)


Saturday, May 2nd from 10am-1pm in the Elmvale Shopping Centre parking lot (next to Kelsey’s) – drop by with any unwanted electronics and our partner 1-800-GOT-JUNK? will dispose of it for free! We simply ask that you consider making a cash donation to our charitable partner the Heron Emergency Food Centre. Receipts will be provided for donations of $20 and above.

Electronic waste is not collected by the City of Ottawa. The following types of items are being accepted at this recycling event:

  • Televisions (one per vehicle)
  • Desktop/laptop computers and terminals
  • Monitors, keyboards and mice
  • Desktop printers, fax machines and CD-ROM drives
  • Amplifiers, stereos, speakers, receivers and radios
  • Cameras and digital cameras
  • Copiers and scanners
  • Telephones, cell phones and answering machines
  • VCR and DVD players
