Safe Streets

We have begun working on this year’s Safe Streets Program based on resident input and suggestions on locations and areas of concern. With this information as a guide, we are formulating a plan to address traffic issues through the installation of various temporary traffic-calming measures to ensure that our streets are safe.

Currently, we have plans of installing radar signs in school zones on a permanent basis. The radar signs will collect speed and car count information from our schools zones and provide us with data on driving patterns.

Along with the radar signs I have invested in speed pavement markings, centre flex signs, and thermoplastic road markings throughout the ward.

Keep an eye out for these new features as we work together to keep our streets safe

If you have any ideas on where the signs should be placed or if we missed an area of concern feel free to let us know by contacting my office at 613-580-2488 or by email at
