On Thursday, March 30, I held a Belfast Yard Expansion Public Meeting open to residents of Avenues O and P. The meeting was organized following the release of the Stage 2 Light Rail Transit Implementation Report upon realizing its implications to the Eastway Gardens Community.
The objective of the meeting was to provide vital information in a timely manner to residents most affected by the investigative works and construction activities currently underway. Its purpose was to gather input from those living on Avenues O and P due the history and concerns that the Avenues and I had undertaken in the past, thus serving as a primer to the meeting scheduled for the broader community.
Further to the information previously circulated, I would like to share with you the topics discussed at the March 30thmeeting, and invite you to a community information session to be held on Wednesday, May 17th at 7pm in theUpper Level Restaurant at the Ottawa Champions Baseball Club, 300 Coventry Road.
